About Me

A picture of meHello and welcome to my homepage! My name is Peter J. Radics and I am a Software Engineer at Perfect Sense, Inc.

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. During my tenure at Virginia Tech, I was a member of the Center for Human-Computer Interaction and the National Science Foundation Center for eDesign.

My dissertation focused on a novel approach for modeling privacy preferences and practice.

My main research interests lie in the social aspects of computing and the modeling of, interaction with, and visualization of information.

Before coming to Virginia Tech, I received my Diplom in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany in 2008 (the German ‘Diplom’ is considered the equivalent of a Master’s degree).

I hail from the beautiful city of Cologne (Köln), Germany, home of the world’s second tallest Gothic cathedral, friendly people with an insatiable love of life, and the only language that you can drink (Kölsch is the name of the dialect spoken in Cologne as well as the delicious beer brewed there!).
